PromptSys IT Solution and Services ("we", "us", or "our") operates the CookEh app. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your choices. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
We are responsible for personal information under our control. Our Privacy Officer can be reached at privacy@promptsys.ca for any question, access request, or concern about how we handle your information.
Account information: your name, email address, username, and (if you sign in with Google or Apple) the basic profile information those providers share with us.
Content you create: recipes, photos you import or upload, notes, ratings, favourites, meal plans, and grocery lists.
Usage information: features you use, AI actions performed, device and app version, and basic log data.
Optional permissions: camera and photo access (to scan or import recipes and set a profile photo) and approximate or precise location (only to find nearby grocery stores). These are used only when you enable them and can be turned off in your device settings.
We collect and use personal information to: create and secure your account; provide and personalize the Service; generate and improve AI recipe features; sync your data across devices; enable sharing with users you choose; provide support; and meet legal obligations. We identify the purposes at or before the time we collect the information.
By creating an account and using the App, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Policy. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice; doing so may limit or end your ability to use the Service.
We share personal information with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf — for example, cloud hosting, authentication providers (Google, Apple), and AI processing providers used to generate recipe content. These providers may process data outside Canada (including in the United States), where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
We require service providers to protect personal information and to use it only for the services we request. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information — including encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed passwords — to protect against loss, theft, and unauthorized access.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, or request deletion of your account and associated data (see cookeh.mypanel.ca/delete-account). To make a request, contact privacy@promptsys.ca. We will respond within the timeframe required by law.
CookEh is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the App or by other reasonable means, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
